God Confirms Our Call

Yesterday, I was reading this verse and I sense that God is confirming the call for my life. Please read James 5:7-11. "Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.  Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!
Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy."

When I read this part, "Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord," it comes to me as a surprise that the very things that I endure is what confirms the call of being an evangelist in my life. We all know the prophets before endured a lot of suffering and how God has blessed them for their obedience. God is using the very things that I endure as an example for other people to be encouraged and persevere in their own race. Now, I see things in perspective that sufferings are indeed part of God's purpose for my life though at times it can be hard to swallow. Mature food indeed needs to be digested and swallowed right?

Anyhow, God will confirm your call if He has asked you to do something special for Him. You will find people you don't intentionally try to make an impression on confirm and affirm your gifts. God Himself will show you as long as you put Him first in your life. He will lead you and give you the anointing to follow through on His call.

While God equips and encourages you for your call, the enemy on the other hand can feed you with fear and discouragement. Please watch out. Even if it takes time, believe God and be ready to step out in faith when the opportunity arises. God is setting you up for His purpose, provision and call. Continue to pray and seek Him for greater things in your life. Ask the counsel too of other people where they see the Lord working supernaturally in your life. Begin to pray and prepare. Trust God and He will pull you through in His time. God bless you.
