Watched the Son of God

Yesterday, I watched the movie  Son of God directed by Christopher Spencer and featuring Diogo Morgado as Jesus and Roma Downey as Mary, the mother of Jesus. I'm just refreshed by the unique take that the writers took on Jesus life. It may not be intended to be a more scholarly take on His life but it succeeded in portraying Jesus as having walked on earth as a real man and still God's beloved Son. The Jesus in this story (I don't know if it was the intent) had a more youthful aura compared to a more mature presentation of Him in previous movies, which is actually not bad when you would think that He was a son, God's very own Son. He was vulnerable and prayed to an omnipotent Father. The portrayal of Jesus being God's Son was more elaborated for me by this new movie. My Pain My Gain

Yesterday, after work hours, I felt the Lord tug at my heart. " Come," he said.  "Take a walk with Me. I will show you something ," not knowing at all where He'll lead or what He will say. I wanted Him to talk to me at that moment while praying at work. I was in need of comfort. But then I knew the only way to find out is to heed Him to follow and so I did. He led me first to a garden filled with couples, I thought for sure He was kidding. But anyway, when you take things a moment at a time, you don't look too far ahead. I just take it all in, wait for what He will tell me. And so I prayed there not bothering with anyone (all the duos around me) and just prayed and waited. No Word yet, just this " They just want the same things you want. " I did not reply back. I just wanted to listen to what He will say. Be Faithful

GOD WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR NEEDS IN 2014 Ephesians 3:20   " Now to him who is able  to do immeasurably more than all we ask  or imagine, according to his power  that is at work within us, " 2 Corinthians 9:8 " And God is able  to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,  you will abound in every good work. " God will provide for 2014. For every need, the provision will come. God is able.  JUST BE FAITHFUL. Matthew 25:29 " To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. " Continue to serve. The key to abundance is faithful living. God will give an abundance (spiritual, provision, relational, growth etc.) in return. Where to be faithful? Be Faithful in the LITTLE THINGS. Be Faithful in the BIG THINGS. Be Faithful in the UNSEEN THINGS. Be Faithful in the SEEN THINGS. Be Faithful and God will reward you in His time and His way. ...

Promises Yet To Be Fulfilled

There are some promises of God that are yet to be fulfilled in my life.  For our nation, I was just refreshed again when I saw a writeup I wrote in my journal around September 4, 2012. This was before Typhoon Haiyan and a number of things. It just refreshed me that God is not yet through with his promises and eagerly wait on God for his promises to pass for our country. The Interdependence of Men and Women

I write this piece The Interdependence of Men and Women  in the context of a healthy thriving society, not yet in the context of marriage and relationships, although I may touch just a small part of it. As I went home last night, I feel that God allowed me to experience a temporary sense of weakness, the feeling of needing strength or a boost of faith and encouragement. It made merealize my own vulnerabilities and how the men were naturally designed to partner with us to boost our morale and create a healthy thriving and balanced society. As a single woman, my source of strength is really my God. I have no husband yet so God is really the source of my strength. But sometimes just because God has filled me with enough strength each day, I forget my own vulnerabilities. And personally being single, I do forget sometimes that there are real men, brothers in the faith or wherever that God also designed to help us.
