Zig Ziglar brought so much passion and encouragement into his books. If there is a gift where he is most sure to have, that is the gift of encouragement. In a world where people are pressed, deadlines have to be met, quotas have to be accomplished, Zig's words brought life, passion, excellence and purpose again to our workplace. The world with so much of life going on needed Zig Ziglar's voice. He served us well just by imparting his gift of encouragement to people in the marketplace. Yesterday, I was reading this verse and I sense that God is confirming the call for my life. Please read James 5:7-11. Thank you to my Church who has supported my writing all the way. Thank you to my leaders who believed in me to pull me out of a black hole of depression and together helped me overcome my hardest circumstances. I think one of the reasons why things don't often go as fast as we want them to be is because, realize it or not, GOD wants imperfect human beings to be involved. He could have changed all the economic turmoil, the wars, the crime rates, the poverty, education, and everything in an instant Himself without our help. My leader once told me, "The more you know God, the more you see how sinful we really are." That was in 2010 and I was undergoing a Refiner's Fire moment where God was dealing with my heart. Deep inside I wish she wasn't right. Like I said in my past blog post, I thought I was a good person. I don't commit crimes. I don't steal. I don't borrow and not repay. I try to do the right things which include alms for the poor, etc. etc. But you know what, she was right. The more we know God, the more we see where we miss His mark. The more we see where we do not meet His standard. Let us not be discouraged when God gives such high standards that we feel we fail and cannot comply. We are supposed to acknowledge that without the grace of God, we are sinners and need help for God to work in our lives and change us. It takes God's humility to work in us so that we avoid feeling self-righteous to be labeled in the same category as "sinners." But that

Been watching this two-month old baby for days. He's so cute. His mommy just keeps telling him "I Love You." That's so sweet and so natural for human mothers to delight in their child. Every part of a parent wants to show their love to their children. It is the very nature of parental love. We even call it "unconditional love." If there is one reason to believe God loves you, it's with this little baby and his mommy. Even before we have the ability to comprehend God's love (which takes more than a lifetime), God showed His undying love for us. He created the earth to provide a home for the object of his affection, Adam and Eve. He created trees, birds, the great seas, all of creation. When we wake up in the morning and the sun greets us, it's as if God is saying again and again, "I Love You My Child, I have prepared for your day. I have prepared food. I give you shelter. It is said in the Bible that " Where there is   no   vision, the people   are unrestrained, b ut   happy is he who keeps the law " (Proverbs 29:18, NASB). People need a vision of change, of hope and a good future for their country. Otherwise, they cast off restraint, get into all sorts of get-rich quick schemes, which includes unlawful ones such as stealing and bribery. The problem is they don't believe things will get better for them. They make excuses that there other people who do the same things. Why? Because they have no vision. They think the country will always be run that way, up to the generation of their sons or daughters. In the mercy of God, we don't have to believe that anymore. We can choose not to accept lies that our country will not get better. We can choose to believe the opposite. What makes good governments good? Part of it is vision. We have to be run by a vision. I wrote last week about the changes that we individually and personally have to go through for us to make an impact and change our nation ( See blog post ). This time the Lord is leading me to share about changing our families through Christ, in Christ and for Christ as well. As I was thinking on the topic, I really did not know where to start. What do I know about marriage, family life and planning? I only know that God brought change in me and I am continually being changed for my family. I do know that God's vision for the family includes marriage. And that is where this topic becomes shady for me. But thankfully, we have the body of Christ. Others have worked on this area and I just have to share their learnings about God's vision for marriage. Pastor Colin S. News of someone's passing reached us yesterday. It was someone I knew when I first started in Church.  Dr. Julieson Tun was in his early 30s. He had worked industriously for years at his own dental clinic near the Far Eastern University in the Philippines. Many of his clients were also from Church. He was a graduate of Centro Escolar University. Unmarried, single but his life was full of relationships and purpose in the service of others in his victory groups, service ministry, singles, and others.  His death is a message to the living to continue on in their race. His may have ended last Saturday but the fruit of his work will remain for all eternity. May you rest well from your sacrifices and toil here on earth and join the Lamb as He gives you your reward - peace, joy, glory, sanctified, victorious, triumphant, loved, and holy with eternal life in heaven.  God bless and Welcome Home. Yesterday, I spent some time going back to our nation's roots. I had to. I had trouble with the crimes that as child would watch on TV and got me scared of life. The sad part is there are still traces today close to 20 years after. What a sad reality. And it is not like it's any one person's fault. The enemy does steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Our war is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, the principalities of the dark forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Yesterday, I might have a clue as to the root of such crimes. God led me in my research. The enemy still has strongholds in this nation that needs to be broken by the blood of the Lamb.  I recall that our nation's history was the fruit of a number of conquests in the land that left us battle-torn. A power struggle existed between the natives and those who conquered us. There was a deep oppression and a spirit of corruption that prevailed when the Spaniards conquered our islands. People were

The Spirit of prophecy is from God. " For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit " (  2 Peter 1:21). However, today I learned that there can also be false prophecies. My verses are in Jeremiah, Chapters 28 to 32.  These are just my learnings, starting from number 1: Learning # 1 : False Prophecies sound like true ones. One thing we have to learn about false teachings is that they sound like the truth but they're not.
